Coming closer, all the time

Gnh. Confirmation&baptism are looming. Only a week-and-a-half away at this point. I am not nervous, yet. I will be come Whit-Sunday.

Thankfully, I won’t be the only one up in front. There’s three others who are just doing confirmation. Still, being up in front, and having everyone look at me? slightly nervewracking.

I will be all right, I know that. It will end well. “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4:13)

  1. You can do it sis! Just remember: you only have to be up there for a few minutes (if I remember my friend’s baptism correctly). BTW, what’s the difference between a confirmation and a baptism?

Young sis (and young niece 😉 )

    1. Baptism is usually done to infants, and in doing so the parents promise to raise their child as a Christian.

Confirmation is when the baptised child, as an adult, assents to the promises that were made by his/her parents, and says that he/she will live as a Christian.

There’s also adult baptism. Not all churches believe in infant baptism, feeling that a child can’t decide for itself to follow Christ. So they want adults to decide for themselves.
